This fragrance evokes the pristine wilderness and breathtaking diversity of the Island State, from its rugged mountains and ancient Tarkine rainforest to the long, remote beaches of the Freycinet Peninsula. Native boronia enlivens the mind while lemon myrtle and native Tasmanian pepper suggest refreshment beside a crisp flowing river. Meanwhile, cedarwood imparts a sense of timelessness.

A trio of white cypress, wattle and kunzea conjures images of Melbourne’s crisp autumn nights and a delicate geranium leaf note nods to the city’s splendid gardens.
This candle tells the alluring story of an early winter’s morning in Bondi. Sun worshipers gather in the southern corner under giant sandstone cliffs. This candle encapsulates the sheer energy of Central Australian flora. A bountiful base of desert oak recalls the dry sandy plains that surround Uluru while native grass and wild berry notes signify a kaleidoscopic feast. A subtle hint of native mint bush opens up a quietly spiritual dimension.

This candle has been created in collaboration with Lennox Hastie, founder and chef behind Firedoor to capture the warmth and energy of sitting around an open fire and to highlight the fragrant beauty of some of the ingredients Lennox cooks with.
Fresh juniper, fruity davana and rich bitter fennel are extended with green violet leaf, while the citrus heart notes from neroli and petitgrain invigorate the senses. Honeyed facets of native kunzea and spicy pimento make way to vibrant sherry-like characteristics from carrot seed, which slowly reveals a base of native buddawood and guaiacwood before being warmed with rich cepes, earthy tobacco and a smokey pairing of choya and vetiver.
This candle and its unique fragrance tell the story of Australian artist Del Kathryn Barton and her exhibition “The Highway Is A Disco” at the National Gallery Victoria in Melbourne. Australian native botanicals including salt bush, river gum and wild herbs recall joyful childhood summers the artist spent in her mother’s South Coast garden, while bergamot, bay leaf and rose nod to her formative years in Sydney. The resulting scent, both delicate and richly layered, is a story of quiet beauty, the comfort of ancient trees and the celebration of a life well lived.
This candle and it’s unique fragrance was created in collaboration between Mark Tuckey and the Raconteur. It takes you on a journey across the Byron hinterland which Mark now calls home. Trace his steps and favourite scent ingredients, immerse yourself in the landscape.
The title is derived from the French verb “Entreprende” meaning “to undertake”.
L’Entrepreneur celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit. Honouring those who undertake risk, chase adventure and provide a source of new ideas and innovation for the betterment of society.
This candle and it's unique fragrance was created in collaboration between Suzie Anderson (of the legendary eponymous homewares stores in the Southern Highlands) and the Raconteur.
A collaboration that began in late 2019, was disrupted by a pandemic, and finally blossomed into this fresh new candle fragrance. This new signature scent celebrates all those individuals, throughout history and today, who have been “in the arena” and found the determination to persevere and reinvent themselves during challenging times.
This candle is the result of a collaboration between Vince Frost and The Raconteur.
Both storytellers. One visual. One olfactory.
The idea came about when Vince wondered if it was possible to rethink the candle and have it tell more than one story, so the exploration began. Ingredient by ingredient they worked through a diverse library of raw materials in the perfumer’s collection. Carefully they created the narrative within the candle and landed on the idea of creating three layers (or chapters), each containing a different fragrance and a different olfactive experience. Each fable leads seamlessly to the next. Evocative, soothing and peaceful. Exploring themes of identity, contentment and romance.
“I was so interested to explore what some of my favourite films, music and poetry would smell like. I wanted to create a candle that would take people on three separate personal experiences that mattered to me.”

Scent 1 ~ Movies
Sicilian lemon was always going to be the hero ingredient when thinking about the film The Godfather by Francis Ford Coppola. The rich woods, tobacco and whiskey note brought the dark underworld and the spice of cardamom provided a crisp edge.
Scent 2 ~ Music
“Perfect Day” was as much about a time and a place in Central Park, NY in 1972, as it was about the core idea behind Lou Reed’s iconic song: contentment, domestic bliss, and appreciating the small things in a relationship. Of course rose as an enduring symbol of perfect beauty had to feature, as did the nod from patchouli, given the era. Calming and grounding Australian native sandalwood provided the perfect foundation on which moments of reflection could be built.
Scent 3 ~ Poetry
“I carry your heart with me”, a gentle poem by ee cummings about love, needed to start with a fresh subtle pairing of bergamot and tangerine as two perfect citrus notes. The warmth and spice of black pepper, when paired with a leather accord, gave the scent a richness and a depth, symbolic of course in all authentic relationships.
We hope this candle will create joy, delight and surprise and enhance the stories created in your own home.
One candle. One story. Three chapters.
Scent 1: Spicy, citrus, boozy, woody (rich)
Elements: Cardamom, Italian citrus, whiskey (accord), tobacco, dark woods, moss, vanilla
Scent 2: Green (herbal), rosy, citrus, earthy, smokey
A coastal oasis peppered with close intimate valleys, hinterland wineries, rugged shores dotted with seaside villages and a thick green blanket of native forest. Cooling breezes from Bass Strait blow clouds away and allow sunshine to work its magic in creating colour, tannins and aromatics. Old vines cascade with pinot noir and pinot gris and sit quietly on ancient rich red volcanic soils.
A fresh opening from juniper, angelica root, pink pepper and kelp act as a spicy palate cleanser before a slow avalanche of native kunzea and its warm honeyed tones is met with sage and crisp native white cypress. Strength and poise are provided by a dense forest of Australian sandalwood, cedarwood, vetiver and birch tar.
This gentle and considered scent aims to showcase the vitality and terroir of the vineyards of this exceptional wine region located an hour south-east of Melbourne.
