The Perfume Room - Podcast
I’m incredibly grateful to Emma Vernon and The Perfume Room for having me on the podcast — what a privilege to share my story and speak so openly.
We spoke about the spark that started it all — a candle-making class — and how that moment unexpectedly rerouted my life toward scent. From studying in Grasse to creating fragrances rooted in Australian identity, it’s been a path I never imagined but now can’t imagine being without.
It was also the perfect time to reflect, as we’ve just launched our 2025 eau de parfum collection in New York — a milestone that still feels surreal as New York was my hometown 30 years ago. To have the chance to talk about these new fragrances, inspired by Australian ingredients and memories, with such an engaged and passionate audience meant the world to me.
Thank you, Emma, for the thoughtful conversation and for holding space for independent voices in perfumery. I’ve admired what The Perfume Room brings to the fragrance community for a long time, and I’m honoured to now be part of that story.
If you're curious about the creative process, the leap from law to scent, or the stories behind our latest fragrances — take a listen.
