This candle tells the alluring story of an early winter’s morning in Bondi. Sun worshipers gather in the southern corner under giant sandstone cliffs. Facing east, they soak in the salty haze as the incoming tide guides their yoga pace. Lush ferns and moss spill over the cliffs and glisten in the morning dew.

Elements: Australian lemon, giant fern, black pepper, wild herbs, labdanum
Mood & Chemistry: Uplifting, calming

This candle has been created in collaboration with Lennox Hastie, founder and chef behind Firedoor to capture the warmth and energy of sitting around an open fire and to highlight the fragrant beauty of some of the ingredients Lennox cooks with.
Fresh juniper, fruity davana and rich bitter fennel are extended with green violet leaf, while the citrus heart notes from neroli and petitgrain invigorate the senses. Honeyed facets of native kunzea and spicy pimento make way to vibrant sherry-like characteristics from carrot seed, which slowly reveals a base of native buddawood and guaiacwood before being warmed with rich cepes, earthy tobacco and a smokey pairing of choya and vetiver.
This fragrance evokes the pristine wilderness and breathtaking diversity of Tasmania, from its rugged mountains and ancient Tarkine rainforest to the long, remote beaches of the Freycinet Peninsula. Native boronia and sassafras enliven the mind while lemon myrtle and native Tasmanian pepper suggest refreshment beside a crisp flowing river. Meanwhile, cedarwood imparts a sense of timelessness.
Scent: Spicy, citrus, fruity, green (herbal), smokey, earthy, woody (rich)
Each of our candlesticks are handmade at our studio in the northern beaches of Sydney. They are made from certified 100% pure Australian beeswax. The wax we use is unbleached and has no additives of any kind.
Our candlesticks are able to be placed on a surface and left as a sculptural object on their own. In addition, because they have a wick that runs from top to bottom they can also be lit to enhance any table setting. This will give off a subtle warm honeyed scent and through the process of ionisation will remove impurities from the air.
Please note that this product is delivered in 2 parts. The round “disc” base is separate from the long candlestick containing the wick. You'll need to apply a naked flame for about 4 to 5 seconds to the base of the candle stick and melt a few drops of beeswax onto the middle of the base and then place the candlestick firmly onto those melted wax drops to allow it to stick together. It’s very old school!
Because the beeswax we use is raw and natural, the colour of our candles vary from batch to batch based on the flowers and plants the bees have visited and the pollon they have collected. Our photos are indicative only of the colours of the products we have in stock at any given time. If you have a preference for a lighter or darker shade please let us know in the notes to your purchase and we will do our best to accommodate you based on the wax we have in stock.

Each beeswax bowl is handmade at our atelier in Sydney’s northern beaches. They are made from certified 100% pure Australian beeswax. The wax we use is raw, unbleached and has no additives of any kind.
The Keystone bowl comes with 3 x beeswax tee-light candles (each in a metal casing) that you place in the bowl and it will glow, giving off a subtle raw honeyed aroma and through the process of ionisation will remove impurities from the air.
The bowl won’t melt. It will just glow beautifully at night with the lit tee-light candle. After you finish your tee-light candles you can purchase top-up ones to replace them.
Our bowls are versatile and sturdy. They can be left on a table as a decorative object on their own, or used as a fruit bowl or flower vase (they are waterproof).
The beeswax we use varies in colour from batch to batch. The colour is based on the pollen the bees have collected. This means that our beeswax bowls and tee-lights also vary slightly in colour from batch to batch. Our photos are indicative only of the colour of the object. If you have a preference for a lighter or darker shade please let us know in the notes to your purchase and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on the products we have in stock.
