Introducing a new multi-sensory collaboration between the Raconteur and Australian visual artist, Ingrid Bowen. This new work has been produced to coincide with the show PEREGRINE which opens on 6 May 2021 at Suki & Hugh Gallery, Bungendore, NSW.
From dry scrubby bush to golden hills peppered with native grass and tall eucalypt forests, the journey across Australia’s ancient pathways is where we witness the pace of nature: patience, growth, renewal. Giant sandstone boulders and meandering creeks offer shelter and provide moments of reflection. It is here that the voyage turns inwards and nature’s resilience signals to us the values of perseverance and optimism.
With a refreshing opening of lemon myrtle, crisp eucalyptus and rich galbanum, this invigorating start to the olfactive journey is met with greetings from a comforting floral trio of kunzea, Kimberley heath and geranium. Finally, the warm embrace of sandalwood, patchouli and cedarwood welcomes the traveller home.
